1. By 29th November 2026, the provider must ensure that quality assurance processes are used effectively to improve outcomes for people experiencing care and demonstrate a culture of continuous improvement within the care service. To do this, the provider must ensure at a minimum that they: a) Use feedback from people living in the service, their families, and staff to inform the service improvement plan; b) Ensure quality assurance tools are used effectively and lead to meaningful action; c) Use the outcomes of adverse events to inform learning and improve outcomes for people. This is to comply with Regulation 3 (Principles) and Regulation 4(1)(a) (Welfare of Users) of the Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (Requirements for Care Services) Regulations 2011 (SSI 2011/210). This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards which state that:
"I benefit from a culture of continuo1. By 29th November 2026, the provider must ensure that people are supported by a staff group fully trained to meet their assessed needs. To do this, the provider must, as a minimum:- a) produce a training needs analysis and staff development plan that reflects the training requirements of the staff group; b) ensure staff have access to training to meet the needs of people being supported. This must include but is not limited to restrictive practice. c) ensure that there is an effective system in place to evaluate the effectiveness of training and its impact upon staff practice. This is to comply with Regulation 4 (1)(a) (Welfare of users) of The Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (Requirements for Care Services) Regulations 2011 (SSI 2011/ 210) and Part 3, Section 8 (1)(a) of the Health and Care (Staff1. By 29th November 2026, the provider must ensure that individuals' personal plans are up-to-date and clearly capture the current level of support required. To do this, the provider must, as a minimum:- a) Ensure there is an up-to-date written plan in place that details individual health, welfare and safety needs and clearly reflects the care that is planned and being delivered; b) Ensure written plans are made available to the person and / or their representative; c) Where there has been a change in need this must be recorded legibly within all the appropriate sections of the plan; d) The service should ensure all personal plans are reviewed at least every six-months or when a change in need occurs to reflect people's care and support needs and how these are to be met. 1. To ensure that people continue to receive good outcomes, the provider should: a) Provide effective and regular supervision to staff. This is to support personal and professional well-being, development and improvement through reflective practice. b) Make arrangements to enhance staff development through effective workplace assessments and practice learning. c) Ensure team meetings are scheduled regularly and accessible and available to all staff. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards which state that: "I have confidence in people because they are trained, competent and skilled, are able to reflect on their practice and follow their professional and organisational codes." (HSCS 3.14)
1. To reflect people’s individual needs, rights, choices and wishes, the provider should ensure personal plans are person-centred with clearly defined meaningful outcomes. This should include, but is not limited to ensuring that: a) each person has an outcome-focused personal plan that reflects their individual needs, including clear goals and the support required to achieve them; b) people are fully involved in developing and reviewing their personal plan; c) staff responsible for reviewing care and support and updating personal plans are suitably skilled and competent. Conditions of registration
To provide a care service to a maximum of 10 adults with learning disabilities; 5 places of which will be for respite and short breaks; no emergency respite place will be provided whilst a named person is residing in the care home as agreed in the variation dated 7 November 2024.
The provider will by no later than 31 May 2025 complete the following improvements to the care home environment:
1. Add a hand wash sink to the domestic services room (DSR).
2. Varnish or paint shelves in DSR so they can be wiped clean.
3. Reconfigure laundry to segregate clean and dirty linen allowing a dirty to clean circulation process.
4. Add a hand wash sink to the laundry.
5. Rehang laundry door leading to garden to allow external swing of door.
