Recommendation 1
1. To ensure that children are experiencing personal care in an environment which is suitable for their needs, the provider should ensure that the toilet facilities upstairs are refreshed and reorganised so that there are sufficient toilets, changing facilities and sinks to meet the needs of children and comply with Building Standards and Space to Grow and Thrive. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'If I require intimate personal care, there is a suitable area for this, including a sink if needed' (HSCS 5.4).
