1. In order to ensure that all staff working in the service are able to provide the same high-quality care, the provider should consider how best to support the long-term use of agency staff. This should include access to appropriate training opportunities and support and supervision in line with the local authorities’ policies. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'I have confidence in people because they are trained, competent and skilled, are able to reflect on their practice and follow their professional and organisational codes' (HSCS 3.14).

1. The provider should ensure that the laundry room is clearly separated into clean and dirty areas. This includes ensuring that drying racks and ironing equipment are kept to the clean area. This would ensure that laundry practices meet standards for infection prevention and control. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'I experience an environment that is well looked after with clean, tidy and well-maintained premises, furnishings and equipment' (HSCS 5.24).
