Requirements & recommendations
1. By 14 August 2026, the provider must ensure that robust quality assurance systems are in place to safeguard the health, welfare and safety of people who use the service. To do this the provider must, at a minimum: a) Formalise quality assurance processes with documented audits for key areas of service delivery including, but not limited to, medication management, personal plans, staff practice, supervision and development. b) Develop and implement a dynamic service improvement plan that is regularly reviewed, includes clear timescales and identifies individuals responsible for actions. c) Introduce structured self-evaluation processes that involve people who use the service, staff and relevant external agencies. This is to comply with Regulation 4(1)(a) of The Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (Requirements for Care Services) Regulations 201
1. Support plans should fully and accurately reflect the current needs of every person using the service so that they accurately inform staff. Care reviews should be used to capture outcomes achieved as a result of support provided and to identify future goals. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: “My personal plan (sometimes referred to as a care plan) is right for me because it sets out how my needs will be met, as well as my wishes and choices" (HSCS 1.15).
1. To ensure people are supported by skilled and competent staff, regular staff supervision sessions should be made available. Direct observations of practice should be completed and afford opportunities for staff to reflect on training and day-to-day practice. The management team should arrange regular planned staff meetings for support staff. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: “I have confidence in people because they are trained, competent and skilled, are able to reflect on their practice and follow their professional and organisational codes” (HSCS 3.14).

Conditions of registration
1. The service will be available to adults with learning and physical disabilities.
2. Staff support will be available to service users over a 24 hour period
3. The service will notify service users of the conditions of registration, the name of the registered service and Care Commission contact details.
4. The service must notify the Care Commission if there is a change in the number and/or location of staff teams as specified in the notice granting registration.
5. The Care Commission requires to be notified if the numbers of staff increase or decrease by 10%.
