1. To support people’s health and wellbeing, the provider should ensure there are clear and consistent systems for recording and monitoring clinical oversight. This should include records of all actions taken. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) that state that: 'I experience high quality care and support because people have the information they need.' (HSCS 4.27)
1. The provider should support better outcomes for people through a culture of continuous improvement. This should include maintaining a clear record of all complaints and concerns raised within the service including any actions taken and lessons learned. This is to ensure care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: “I experience high quality care and support based on relevant evidence, guidance and best practice.” (HSCS 4.11).
2. The manager should ensure improvement in the oversight, recording and reporting of information. Relevant and prompt notifications should be submitted to the Care Inspectorate in line with legislation and notification guidance. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: ‘I use a service which is well led and managed’ (HSCS 4.23).
1. The service should improve the consistency of team meeting documentation and ensure that all staff are included in these meetings. This will support clearer communication, accountability, and shared understanding across the team. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: ‘I have confidence in people because they are trained, competent and skilled, are able to reflect on their practice and follow their professional and organisational codes.’(HSCS 3.14).
1. In order for people to be kept safe, the provider should ensure fire safety records are completed in a timely manner and follow best practice guidance. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards which state, “I experience an environment that is well looked after with clean, tidy and well-maintained premises, furnishings and equipment." (HSCS 5.24)
