1. By 26 August 2026, the provider must ensure they keep people safe and healthy by ensuring that there is a system in place to ensure effective oversight of the service is in place which supports positive outcomes for people. To do this, the provider must, at a minimum: a) Ensure that they adhere to the Care Inspectorate notification guidance for reportable events. b) Implement a system to regularly monitor, review and learn from accidents, incidents and adult protection concerns. c) Ensure all staff have regular supervision that enables them to develop and improve practice through reflection and feedback. This is to comply with Regulation 4(1)(a) (Welfare of users) of The Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (Requirements for Care Services) Regulations 2011 (SSI 2011/210). By 26 August 2026 the provider must ensure that personal plans are in place and contain sufficient detail to allow staff to provide effective support for people's health, welfare and safety needs. These must be reviewed at least every six-months, or when a significant change occurs and be available to all staff working with the person. This is to comply with Regulations 5 (1) and (5) (2)(b) of The Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (Requirements for Care Services) Regulations 2011/210). This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care standards (HSCS) which state that: ‘My care and support is provided in a planned and safe way, including if there is an emergency or unexpected event’ (HSCS 4.14).
1. To ensure people receive their medication as intended, the provider should ensure that all prescribed ‘as required’ medications are documented in line with policy. This includes implementing detailed individualised protocols. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which states that: ‘I experience high quality care and support because people have the necessary information and resources’ (HSCS 4.27).

To support peoples health and wellbeing, the provider should ensure that all action plans generated from quality assurance activities and feedback from people and staff teams are SMART focussed and link into the service improvement plan. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which states that: ‘My care and support meets my needs and is right for me’ (HSCS 1.19).
1. To provide high quality care, the provider should ensure that all staff have a clear understanding of all operational roles and responsibilities and accessible in-house tiers of support. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with Health and Social Care Standard (HSCS) which state that: 'I experience stability in my care and support from people who know my needs, choices and wishes, even if there are changes in the service or organisation’ (HSCS 4.16).
