To ensure people consistently experience high-quality care and support, the provider should continue to review staffing arrangements to ensure there are sufficient staff available at key times of the day, such as mealtimes and during periods of increased need. This includes ensuring staff are available to support people who choose to eat in their rooms and that communication with families is not compromised due to staffing pressures. This is to ensure care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS), which state: 'My needs are met by the right number of people'(HSCS 3.15) and 'I am supported and cared for by people I know so that I experience consistency and continuity'(HSCS 4.16).
