1. By 15 June 2026, the provider must ensure that children are included and their needs are met by staff reviewing and revising children's personal care plans to reflect the specific needs, wishes and choices of children and their families. This should include, but is not limited to: a) All children must have an up-to-date plan in place b)each plan should include strategies of support that are meaningful and related to children's current needs and interests c) all information must be reviewed at least once in every six month period or sooner if there are any changes to a child's care, welfare or safety. This is in order to comply with Regulation 5 (Personal plans) of The Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (Requirements for Care Services) Regulations 2011 (SSI 2011/210). This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which states that: 'My care and support meets my needs and is right for me' (HSCS 1.19)
1. To ensure children’s health welfare and safety needs can be met and to support a culture of reflective practice which identifies and actions areas for improvement, the management team should ensure effective quality assurance processes are in place. This should include but is not limited to robust monitoring of service delivery, medication processes and children’s personal plans. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'I benefit from a culture of continuous improvement with the organisation having robust and transparent quality assurance processes' (HSCS 4.19).
Conditions of registration
Number(s) and Age(s) of person(s) to whom service may be provided:
1. To provide a care service for a maximum of 58 children aged from 4 years 6 months to 14 years.
Any other conditions unique to the service:
2. The care service will operate Monday to Friday between the times of 15:00 to 17:45 term time and 08:00 to 17:45 holiday cover.
3. During operating times the care service will have exclusive use of the primary school dining room.
4. The service will comply with the following staffing:- Age of children Ratio - Adults: Children *3 years and over 1:8. Where children aged 3 years and over attend facilities providing day care for a session which is less than a continuous period of 4 hours in any day, the adult: child ratio may be 1: 10 providing individual children do not attend more than one session per day. 2 adults to be on duty at any one time. (Only adults in contact with children for the majority of the session should count towards the ratios).
