1. In order to achieve comprehensive quality assurance and service improvement, the provider should ensure that people supported, and staff have the opportunity to be involved in and contribute to the self-evaluation and development plan for the service. This is to ensure care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'I can be meaningfully involved in how the organisations that support and care for me work and develop' (HSCS 4.6).

2. The provider should support better outcomes for people through a culture of continuous improvement. This should include maintaining a clear record of all complaints and concerns raised within the service including any actions taken and lessons learned. This is to ensure care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: “I experience high quality care and support based on relevant evidence, guidance and best practice.” (HSCS 4.11).

1. The provider should ensure staff have access to mandatory training during the staff induction period. This will increase staff knowledge and skills and ensure people experience better outcomes. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards which state that: 'I have confidence in people because they are trained, competent and skilled, are able to reflect on their practice and follow their professional and organisational codes' (HSCS 3.14).

1. The provider should ensure that the service addresses maintenance and environmental needs identified in the service action plans in a timely manner. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards which state, "I experience an environment that is well looked after with clean, tidy and well-maintained premises, furnishings and equipment." (HSCS 5.22)

2. The provider should ensure people experiencing care have confidence they are protected from harm by way of safe infection prevention and control practices. Staff should understand best infection prevention and control practices and implement these in the work they do. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'I experience high quality care and support based on relevant evidence, guidance and best practice' (HSCS 4.11).

3. The provider should review the use of the laundry space in relation to the management and processing of laundry to reduce the risk of cross-contamination. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'I experience high quality care and support based on relevant evidence, guidance and best practice' (HSCS 4.11); and 'I experience an environment that is well looked after with clean, tidy and well-maintained premises, furnishings and equipment' (HSCS 5.22).
