Recommendation 1
1. The service should further strengthen environmental oversight through more consistent recording of walkarounds and planned environmental improvement. This will help ensure the environment is safe, well maintained and supports people’s wellbeing. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards, which state: “I experience an environment that is well looked after with clean, tidy and well maintained premises”. (HSCS 5.22) and “My environment is safe and secure”. (HSCS 5.17)
