Requirement 1

1. By 6th July 2026, the provider must ensure that children are safe and protected from harm. To do this, the provider must at a minimum: (a) provide care for children in a safe and secure outdoor environment, including a well maintained enclosed perimeter fence. (b) robust and dynamic risk assessments must take place and appropriate action is taken to mitigate risks to children. This is to comply with Regulation (4) (1a) of the Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (Requirements for Care Services) Regulations 2011 (SSI 2011/210). This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards, which state, ‘My environment is safe and secure’ (HSCS 5.17).
