1. The provider should identify an appropriate space for nappy changing facilities in line with best practice guidance. This would ensure that staff can keep children safe and prevent the spread of infection, and maintain children's privacy and dignity. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'If I require personal care, there is a suitable area for this, including a sink if needed' (HSCS 5.4); and 'I experience high quality care and support based on relevant evidence, guidance and best practice' (HSCS 4.11).
