Recommendation 1

1. To ensure children's safety and wellbeing, the provider should ensure all areas of the environment promote effective infection prevention and control measures. This should include, but not be limited to ensuring all areas where children receive personal care are easily cleaned and free from flaking paint, exposed plaster and gaps in flooring. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: "I experience an environment that is well looked after with clean, tidy and well maintained premises, furnishings and equipment" (HSCS 5.22)
