Recommendation 1

1. To support children's wellbeing and development the provider should ensure quality assurance systems are used to maintain and improve practice. This should include, but not be limited to: • staff being deployed to meet children’s needs • ensure personal plans are kept up to date, to reflect children’s individual needs and preferences • when children require rescue medication it should be available for staff to administer. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'I benefit from a culture of continuous improvement with the organisation having robust and transparent quality assurance processes' (HSCS 4.19). and,' I experience high quality care and support based on relevant evidence, guidance and best practice' (HSCS 4.11).
