Recommendation 1

1. To support children's health and wellbeing, the provider should improve infection prevention and control procedures. This should include, but is not limited to, ensuring children have more immediate access to handwashing facilities. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'I can easily access a toilet from the rooms I use and can use this when I need to' (HSCS 5.2).
