1. To support people's health and wellbeing, the service should improve compliance with daily/weekly safety checks and the associated record keeping. This should include, but is not limited to, fridge and freezer temperatures. This is to ensure that practice is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'Any treatment or intervention that I experience is safe and effective' (HSCS 1.24).

To further improve people's confidence in quality assurance systems, the service should conduct a full self-assessment of the quality of their service, mapped against the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS). The results of the self-evaluation should inform the existing service improvement plan. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'I experience high quality care and support based on relevant evidence, guidance and best practice' (HSCS 4.11).
