1. By 06 July 2026, the provider must ensure that people are supported in an environment that is safe, clean and minimises the risk of the spread of infection. To do this the provider must at a minimum: a) Ensure that staff receive the appropriate training in infection control b) Review cleaning schedules to ensure they include all areas of the home c) Ensure that quality assurance checks are made at regular intervals to ensure compliance with infection control practice and general cleanliness of the home, including personal care equipment. This is to comply with Regulation 4 (1) (a)(Welfare of users) and (d) (Infection control) of The Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (Requirements for Care Services) Regulations 2011 (SSI 2011/210). This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'I experience high quality care and support based on relevant evidence, guidance and best practice' (1. By 06 July 2026, the Provider must ensure that there are sufficient ancillary staff working within the home at all times to support positive outcomes for people including a clean, safe home. To do so the Provider must: a) Carry out a staffing review specifically around catering, domestic and laundry staff. b) Ensure there are staff in sufficient numbers across the day and week to maintain a good standard of cleanliness within the home. c) Develop a contingency plan that describes how any vacancies or absences will be covered to ensure sufficient cover within the home. This is to comply with: Section 7(1)(a)(b)(c) of the Health and Care (Staffing) (Scotland) Act 2019. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: ‘My needs are met by the right number of people’ (HSCS 3.15) and 'I experience an environment that is well looked after with clean, tidy, and well maintained premises, furnishings, and

In order to ensure that people are supported respectfully and safely, and in a manner that minimises the risk of infection, the Provider should develop a detailed policy and procedure that describes how they will implement and manage a system dependant on re-useable flannels for personal care. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'If I require intimate personal care, this is carried out in a dignified way, with my privacy and personal preferences respected' (HSCS 1.4) and 'Any treatment or intervention that I experience is safe and effective' (HSCS 1.24).
1. In order to facilitate effective communication and support the development of staff, the manager should establish a regular programme of formal supervision discussions with staff. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'I have confidence in people because they are trained, competent and skilled, are able to reflect on their practice and follow their professional and organisational codes' (HSCS 3.14).

By 31 March 2026, to ensure that people are safe and protected from harm, the manager must ensure; - Ensure that all staff have up to date knowledge in Infection prevention and control including the Standard Infection Control Precautions (SICPs). - That staff are aware of and follow their Professional Codes of Conduct. - That staff adhere to good practice guidance designed to keep people safe – more specifically ensure staff are demonstrating effective good hand hygiene. - That there are processes in place to monitor staff practice and appropriate action taken to address any issues. In order to ensure people experience an environment that is comfortable; - the manager should continue to monitor the temperatures around the home to ensure they are at a comfortable level for people living in the home. - the manager should review contingency plans and ensure staff are aware of what action to take in the event of any further break down or issue impacting on people in the home. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: ‘My environment has plenty of natural light and fresh air, and the lighting, ventilation and heating can be adjusted to meet my needs and wishes' (HSCS 5.19).

In order that people people are treated with dignity and respect and experience a well maintained, safe and clean environment, you, the provider should; - continue with environmental improvements as planned. - provide the Care Inspectorate with regular updates to the plan as a minimum every eight weeks. - where possible the plan should included anticipated dates that work is to commence and predicted timescales. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which states that: 'My environment is secure and safe' (HSCS 5.17) and 'I experience an environment that is well looked after with clean, tidy, and well maintained premises, furnishings, and equipment' (HSCS 5.22).

By 31 December 2025, the provider must make proper provision for the health, welfare and safety of people using the service, in particular the provider must: a) ensure people's needs as agreed in their personal plan are fully met b) ensure recommendations from other healthcare professionals are fully met c) ensure risks are fully assessed and safely and effectively managed. This is in order to comply with: Regulation 4(1)(a) of The Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (Requirements for Care Services) Regulations 2011 (SSI 2011/210). This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS), which state that: 'My care and support meets my needs and is right for me' (HSCS 1.19).
1. By 31 December 2025, to support people's health and wellbeing, the provider must make sure that it consistently reports incidents and accidents to the relevant agencies where appropriate. This includes notifying the Care Inspectorate. This is to ensure that care and support complies with the Regulation 4 of The Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland(Requirements for Care Services) Regulations 2011 (SSI 2011/210). This is in order to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS), which state that: 'I benefit from different organisations working together and sharing information about me promptly where appropriate, and I understand how my privacy and confidentiality are respected' (HSCS 4.18).
