1. By 31 August 2026, to promote people's safety, the provider must ensure safe recruitment practices are in place. This includes having a recruitment policy and being able to demonstrate that: a) Staff are recruited in line with best practice and current Scottish legislation. b) Staff understand their responsibility to apply for and maintain SSSC registration within required timescales. c) Staff are trained and competent to perform their roles. d) Risk assessments are in place for external contractors. e) A clear induction process is implemented for all new staff. This is in order to comply with Regulation 9 (SSI 2011/210) of The Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (Requirements for Care Services Regulations 2011). This is also to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS), which state that: 'I am confident that people who support and care for me have been appropriately and safely
