1. To ensure that people are supported to maintain their independence the service should review signage and environmental cues throughout the setting to promote people’s independence and support effective orientation. This should include considering how private spaces, such as bedrooms, can be more easily identified and distinguished by the people who use them. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards which state; (HSCS 5.11) 'I can independently access the parts of the premises I use and the environment has been designed to promote this.'

To provide a care service to a maximum of 12 adults/older people including people with dementia of whom 2 may be respite/short break places and to provide a care home service to one named individual under 65 years.
To comply with the current staffing schedule attached dated 17th December 2008 which must be displayed together with the certificate.
