1. To support positive and improved outcomes for children and families, the manager should ensure effective quality assurance systems are embedded into practice. This should include but not be limited to: a)Children and families being meaningfully involved and influencing changes within the setting. b)Regular, effective and focused monitoring being carried out across the setting. c)Regular support and supervision in place to support staff practice and professional development. d)Quality assurance calendar supporting audits and monitoring, developed and implemented, with any actions addressed promptly. e)Policies and procedures updated to reflect the service. f)Self-evaluation and improvement plans leading to high quality care and support. Conditions of registration

1. To provide a care service for a maximum of 30 children aged 2 and a half to those not yet attending primary school.

Any other conditions unique to the service:

2. During the operating times the service will have the exclusive use of the building consisting of the playroom, staff/office area, kitchen, toilets and outside play area. Also shared use of the hall area within the Hamnavoe school.

3. To comply with current staffing ratios: Age Range Ratio 2 - 3 years 1:8 3 years and over 1:10 A minimum of two adults must be on the premises at any one time. (only adults in contact with the children for the majority of the session should count towards the ratios). Staffing Qualifications should comply with the expectations of the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
