Requirements & recommendations
1. By 15 December 2025, the provider must ensure the health, welfare and safety of all young people. This must include, but is not limited to: (a) Submit notifications to the Care Inspectorate as required by our notification guidance entitled: - 'Children and young people's care services: Guidance on records you must keep and notifications you must make', March 2025. This is in order to comply with section 53(6) of the Act and Regulation 4(1)(a) of the Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (Requirements for Care Services) Regulations 2011 (SSI 2011/210).
This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'I am protected from harm, neglect, abuse, bullying and exploitation by people who have a clear understanding of their responsibilities' (HSCS 3.20).
1. To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all young people, the provider should review existing medication procedures and practices. This will reduce risk and promote improved outcomes. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'Any treatment or intervention that I experience is safe and effective' (HSCS 1.24).
Conditions of registration
To provide a care service to a maximum of 4 children or young people at the named address.
In addition to provide a care service to a maximum of 2 children or young people at 1 Braeburn Court St. Margaret's Hope.
3. To comply with the current staffing schedules attached dated 6 October 2015 which must be displayed together with this certificate.
4. Any temporary accommodation for children or young people in excess of the stipulated number of places must be notified to the Care Inspectorate and the Care Inspectorate's stated policy on emergency relaxation of conditions on numbers must be followed.
