1. By 6 February 2026, to keep children safe, the provider must put effective systems in place to ensure that only staff who are appropriately registered with a professional body carry out work in the service in a post for which registration is required. This is to comply with The Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (Requirements for Care Services) Regulations 2011(SSI 2011/10) Regulation 9(b). This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS), which state that: ‘I have confidence in people because they are trained, competent and skilled, are able to reflect on their practice and follow their professional and organisational codes.’ (HSCS 3.14).
