1. To promote children’s health, safety and wellbeing, the service should have a consistent approach to recording and sharing information with families when medication has been administered. This should include being checked during quality assurance processes. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: ‘ I experience high quality care and support based on relevant evidence, guidance and best practice'. (HSCS 4.11)
1. To ensure children’s safety and privacy, the service should take steps to minimise any potential risks of people accessing areas of the facilities when children are using toilets or cloakrooms. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards which state: ’My environment is secure and safe’ (HSCS 5.19).
