Requirements & recommendations
1. To promote a culture of continuous improvement the provider should develop approaches to self-evaluation. This should include, but is not limited to: a) reflecting on practice making use of best practice guidance b) identifying and planning areas for improvement c) gathering formal feedback from service users to help identify areas for improvement. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS), which state that: 'I benefit from a culture of continuous improvement, with the organisation having robust and transparent quality assurance processes' (HSCS 4.19).
Conditions of registration
Number(s) and Age(s) of person(s) to whom service may be provided:
1. To provide a care service to a maximum of 6 children at any one time under the age of 16, of whom no more than 3 are not yet attending primary school and of whom no more than 1 is under 12 months. Numbers are inclusive of children of the childminder's family.
Any other conditions unique to the service:
2. Minded children cannot be cared for by persons other than those stated on the registration certificate.
3. Overnight care will not be provided.
