Recommendation 1
1. To ensure children's safety, the service should develop and implement clear drop off and collection procedures. This should include but not be limited to, a clear policy, risk assessment and written permission from parents/carers for children to leave the service early and go to school independently. Individual children's needs and stages of development should also be considered. This is to ensure that care and support is consistent with the Health and Social Care Standards (HSCS) which state that: 'My environment is secure and safe' (HSCS, 5.19).
