Key individual for resettlement communication

Communication between the HSCTs and/or resettlement service providers and families and people with learning disabilities should be more open and transparent. Each service user/family should have appointed to them a key individual who is responsible for ensuring both the family and the service user are consulted and kept informed in relation to considerations of resettlement, including the staff training of the proposed resettlement. The key individual should also be in a position to assist with advice on direct payments. (See also Recommendation 5).
