Response — verbatim from government
●Scottish Government
Section 2.1 of the Scottish Government's response highlights the role of the national HAI Taskforce, which coordinates, implements, and monitors actions across NHS Scotland to reduce HAIs, working with local teams and existing structures. The Taskforce has been restructured to provide efficient, effective, and targeted leadership and expert advice. Additionally, the HAI compendium provides NHS Scotland staff with an overview of all up-to-date national policy, guidance, and supporting materials on HAI, which would include best practices for team functioning and communication.

How this page is built
Source and Response are verbatim from primary documents. The Evidence trail records published activity since — written statements, consultation outcomes, inspection findings, parliamentary references. The Index does not paraphrase or characterise intent; it tracks what has been published. Where the evidence is the absence of action (a missed deadline, a slipped timetable), that absence is documented from primary sources rather than inferred.
This recommendation's data is verified periodically against primary sources. The Index is monitored for staleness weekly.
