REGULATION 28 REPORT: B1192 LANGRICK ROAD, BROTHERTOFT
Thank you for your Regulation 28 Report dated 9 January 2015 (addressed to issued following the inquest touching the death of the late Mr Thomas Hunt. As required under Section 7 of your report, I make the following response.
I can confirm that a section of the B1192, on the bend at Brothertoft, was resurfaced in November 2014. The request to reduce the current speed limit along this section of road will be addressed in accordance with Lincolnshire County Council's Speed Limit Policy.
As part of our Speed Management Review in Lincolnshire, we are currently in the process of reviewing our existing Speed Limit Policy. The revised new Policy is due to be considered by the Council's Highways and Transport Scrutiny Committee on 9 March 2015. Subject to the outcome at this meeting, we will proceed to the public consultation on the revised new Policy. It is anticipated that any new revised Policy will be formally adopted by the Council in the Autumn.
An assessment for reducing the current speed limit along this section of the road will be actioned once the outcome of the current review has been completed and any revised new Policy is adopted by the Council. In the meantime, we intend to commence the investigation and assessment process to determine whether this site meets the current policy criteria.
