Regulation 28 Report – Ryan Gareth Taylor (Deceased), A390 Coliza Hill, St Austell
I am pleased to be able to update you on progress with the general improvements previously outlined in my letter of 12th July 2021, following your Regulation 28 Report of 25th May 2021.
Significant improvements have now been made to the drainage in the area of Mr Taylor’s accident, at a cost of approximately £370,000. Nearly 500m of combined kerb drainage has been installed, along with additional surface water gullies. The capacity of over 400m of the underlying carrier drains has been increased accordingly to take the additional water flow.
This enhanced drainage system will be able to capture a greater volume of surface water at times of intense rainfall, reducing the risk of surface water flowing across the carriageway.
I trust this is satisfactory. Please feel free to contact me should you wish for any further information.
