Conclusion (the committee's words)
Author visits to schools and other education settings can be transformational in inspiring young readers and helping children see the person behind the magic. The Department for Education should develop resources for schools and early years settings with clear points of contact to support them to identify and contact authors and illustrators who are available to offer talks and workshops with children. (Recommendation, Paragraph 213) 98
