Recommendation 37
37
We recommend that the BBC be given a public purpose on innovation and technology.
Recommendation
We recommend that the BBC be given a public purpose on innovation and technology. It should be broad and high-level and enable the BBC to interpret how it applies its resources to the challenges of the current media environment in pursuit of its public purposes. It should not be tied specifically to driving economic growth. (Recommendation, Paragraph 144)
