The removal of the end date needs to be accompanied by robust mechanisms to enable periodic reviews of the BBC’s funding and public purposes, including a formal structure for how the government intends to engage stakeholders and the public. We recommend that these review processes are set out in the new Charter. (Recommendation, Paragraph 117) Looking to the future
