Chris Jennings also told us he was determined to see an increase in the availability of treatment services: “The Community Sentence Treatment Requirements are the area where I want to see most progress. If we cannot address people’s mental health and drug and alcohol issues, we will not be able to get them to keep on the right path and move their life to a more positive stage. Solving those root-cause issues is the key focus as pertains to community sentences.” 163
