Recommendation
Our evidence suggests that the Government does not currently have an adequate plan for promoting CPTPP. We recommend that the Government develop new approaches to engaging businesses, including a task force to build the overall capacity of UK businesses to use CPTPP. This should work alongside existing initiatives such as the UK’s trade envoy network.
