We recommend that the creation of a cross-Government technology forecasting unit.
Recommendation
We recommend that the creation of a cross-Government technology forecasting unit. This would lead an annual technology forecasting process, to support a co-ordinated response to technological change and the risk of new harms across the UK’s economic security toolkit. This unit should be based within the new Office of Economic Security, to provide a cross- Government liaison point. (Recommendation, paragraph 111) Develop sovereign capabilities
