Recommendation 32

We recommend that the Government publish within six months a feasibility assessment for an investment savings account, with similar features to the Swedish ISK model, that maximises ease of use for customers with the aim of encouraging them to invest in UK equities. The assessment should cover tax treatment, eligible assets, UK equity-weighting requirements and an estimate of retail savings that could be mobilised over ten years.
