Recommendation 29

We recommend that the Government commission and publish a dynamic costing of the options for restoring some form of dividend tax relief for pension funds investing in UK equities—including a targeted, partial restoration applying to DC default funds—alongside an analysis of the likely impact on domestic equity allocation and the consequent effect on tax revenues. This analysis should be laid before Parliament by the next Budget. (Recommendation, Paragraph 104)
