Recommendation 7

We welcome the Government’s pledge in the Industrial Strategy to review the activities of the UK’s economic institutions and arm’s-length bodies to ensure they are effective and coordinated in support of the Industrial Strategy. This review should be completed as soon as possible. It should explicitly report on how access to business finance can be improved, and to support this, how procurement, research and development support, regulation and the UK’s public finance institutions can be best coordinated, especially for Britain’s High Growth Firms.
