Select committee: Business, Innovation, Science and Trade Committee

Recommendation 17

Third Report - Post-pandemic economic growth: Levelling up Published 22 Jul 2021 Paragraph 77 Addressed to Department for Business and Trade
Recommendation (the committee's words)
We recommend that the Government should set out what it envisages a ‘levelled up UK’ would look like and agree a set of metrics by which progress towards this vision can be measured. We recommend that the assessments should be based on measurable outcomes linked to short, medium and long-term milestones and goals. We look forward to seeing the work, which has been undertaken by Neil O’Brien MP and the Levelling Up Task Force in this regard, and expect it to be a core element of the promised White Paper.
