Conclusion
Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) could play a small but important role in contributing to 30 by 30 and delivering nature recovery and identifying, funding and implementing nature management measures in some new areas. This will require BNG to be well regulated and managed for biodiversity and the gains will need to be well-evidenced.
