In setting strategic priorities for Ofcom, the Government should prioritise the long -term benefits to consumers of market competition and recognise the benefits to digital inclusion provided by altnets. Ofcom should have regard to the levels of take up of full fibre products and the breadth of infrastructure competition when reviewing the state of competition in the telecommunication market.
