Recommendation
The Government should amend section 327 of the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 to clarify that subsection (1) applies to the acceptance of proceeds of crime as payment for legal services. If necessary this could specify the application to services provided in relation to litigation which has the intention or effect of supressing reporting on matters of public interest.
