Conclusion
We encourage tech platforms to give more prominence to recognised news publishers (as defined in the Online Safety Act 2023 ), for example through better visual cues or adjusting prominence on user feeds. This should be an industry-led initiative: we do not support a mandatory Government-led kitemark scheme.
