Conclusion
We heard strong support for the UK’s sector-led, outcomes-based approach to AI regulation. However, this relies heavily on existing regulators’ ability to navigate complex and evolving technologies. The Government has frequently referenced the potential benefits of the Regulatory Innovation Office (RIO), but its remit remains unclear.
