The UK Government’s proposed solution to this issue is the Integrated Plan for Water, which aims to “transform management of the whole water system, deliver a clean water environment for nature and people, and secure a plentiful supply of water”. 113 It seeks to take a system wide approach including aiming to reduce pollution from wastewater (legislated through the Levelling-Up and Regeneration Bill), urban areas, transport, farms and metal mines. 114
