Conclusion
Public toilets make it possible for everyone to use the local high street with confidence and comfort. They are particularly critical for elderly people and families with young children who might otherwise be reluctant to leave home. There are many ways to ensure decent public toilets are available and maintained on high streets and local authorities should be proactive in pursuing these options. This could include working with local businesses to provice more choice and availability. (Paragraph 48) Who is responsible for the high street?
