The Department’s failure to develop a comprehensive asset management system is yet another example of the poor information that underpins how it manages its estate.30 This latest admission comes soon after we highlighted the Department’s lamentable failure to bring the SLAMIS system (to manage single living accommodation) into service after eight years of development.
