On the basis of a report by the Comptroller and Auditor General, we took evidence from the Department for International Trade (the Department), the Cabinet Office and the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra).2 We were also joined for this evidence session by Mark Garnier MP and Anthony Mangnall MP from the International Trade Committee.
