The Committee will call in senior officials from the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government for questioning on a range of current issues in the Department’s remit, including: The impact of the Covid 19 pandemic on local authority services and budgets Local authority responsibilities in the pandemic, particularly in relation to social care, tackling homelessness and providing services Future of local authority financial sustainability Housing, including the impact of Covid-19, and the recently announced major planning reforms If you have evidence on these issues please submit it here by 6.00pm Wednesday 2 December 2020.
