Conclusion
We welcome the Government’s commitment to ensuring access to the Parliamentary estate for those who have business there. However, it is important that protesters can protest outside democratic institutions and have their voices heard. The police should use the new powers sparingly and only when necessary to ensure access to the Parliamentary estate.
